Tourism office at the beginning of Rambla de la Llibertat
La Rambla is the meeting point of the people living in Girona. This boulevard goes along the riverbank of the Onyar hidden by the houses build upon the old walls.
The inner part of La Rambla is characterized by the retching and porches on the top of them it can be seen some facades with medieval elements such as mullioned windows. Under of those archers, painted on the shelter it can be seen a map of Paris that was used as a attraction from a shop that used to be there.
Some emblematic buildings of La Rambla are the Municipal Exposition Halls (1929) from Joaquim Maggioni and with style characteristic from the beginning of the 20th century in Catalonia called Noucentisme; and the Norat house (1912) from Joan Roca I Pinet with a Modernist facade.
In front of the information and tourist office it can be found a monument devoted to Carles Rahola a writer, journalist, historian and Catalan republican politic.
